The first question anyone would ask, "is this worth $200?" Well, that's a partially subjective question. For what it is, how it's constructed, the answer is an unequivocally yes: the construction, materials, fit and finish is superb. The other, less tangible, component is the satisfaction and joy one experiences in using a precision engineered tool. It is difficult to assess a monetary value to this, and it would not be possible to convince anyone who has doubts that this feeling is worth the money. But for the others, like myself, who find great satisfaction in using a finely crafted tool which produces results that cannot be replicated by lesser tools, this Männkitchen Pepper Cannon is totally worth the cost. I only fill the grinder with the quantity that is required for a single dish, so I can use whatever pepper I need for any particular application : Cambodian kampot, Vietnamese late harvest, Indian Tellicherry. The Pepper Cannon can grind peppercorns as fine as dust as well as a super coarse grit. The only negative comment that I have is that the two rubber O-rings securing the grinder base/storage are not durable: the two O-rings in the base have already broken off in the short time (2 weeks) that I've had it. The product does ship with extra replacement O-rings, but, I suspect that they'll break shortly as well.
